Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sat 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (calls and scheduling), closed Sunday.

If there is fire or immediate danger, call 911 first
Before anything else: if you see flames, smoke you cannot trace, or anyone has been shocked and is hurt, get everyone out of the house and call 911. Firefighters handle the immediate danger. An electrician handles what comes after. Do not wait for us in a house that is actively unsafe.
What counts as an electrical emergency
Not every electrical problem is an emergency, and knowing the difference saves you money and worry. Treat these as urgent and call right away:
A burning smell you cannot trace. A hot, fishy, or burning-plastic odor near an outlet, switch, or your panel means something is overheating.
A panel that is hot, buzzing, or crackling. Panels should be quiet and roughly room temperature. Heat or noise at the panel deserves prompt professional attention.
Visible sparking. An outlet, switch, or wire that has sparked, especially more than once.
Water and electricity in contact. A leak into a light fixture, a flooded room with live outlets, or any wiring that has gotten wet.
The whole house lost power but your neighbors have it. When the outage is only your home, the problem is likely in your service equipment, and it usually cannot wait.
If your problem is a single dead outlet, a light that flickers, or a breaker that tripped once and reset cleanly, that is a repair, not an emergency. Our electrical repair and troubleshooting page covers those, and same-day or next-day scheduling handles them fine.
What to do while you wait
You can usually take the danger out of the situation before we arrive:
- Turn off the affected breaker, if you can do it safely. If you know which breaker feeds the problem area, switch it off. If the panel itself is hot, buzzing, or smells like burning, do not touch it. Leave it alone and keep your distance.
- Do not touch anything wet. If water has reached outlets, cords, or fixtures, stay out of standing water and leave the area de-energized.
- Unplug what you can reach safely. If a specific appliance or cord is the obvious source, unplug it only if the plug and your hands are dry and the outlet is not sparking or hot.
- Keep people and pets away from the problem area until we have looked at it.
When you call or text (360) 218-4499, tell us what you smell, see, or hear. A photo helps. We will tell you on the phone whether it can wait and what to do in the meantime.
What same-day emergency response looks like
During business hours, genuine hazards go to the front of the line. Here is how it works:
- You call or text and describe the symptom. We ask a few questions to judge how urgent it really is, and we will be straight with you either way.
- You get a real arrival window. Not "someone will call you back." A time.
- We make it safe first. The first job on an emergency call is stopping the hazard: isolating the circuit, disconnecting the failed equipment, securing the panel.
- Then we quote the repair. The service call is a flat $129, published here, and it is credited toward the work if you hire us. You see the repair price before we start, even on an emergency call. Urgency is not an excuse for mystery pricing.
When next-day is the honest answer
Sometimes the truthful answer is that we cannot get there today. If it is late in the day, or the schedule is genuinely full, we will say so and offer the first real slot, which is usually the next day.
When that happens, we will not leave you hanging. We will walk you through making the situation safe over the phone, usually by shutting off the affected breaker, and tell you what to watch for overnight. In most cases, cutting power to the problem circuit takes the urgency out of the situation and leaves you with an inconvenience instead of a worry. We think a true answer and a workable plan beat a promise nobody shows up for.
If your situation cannot safely wait and we cannot get there, we will tell you that too, so you can call someone who can.
Emergencies that point to a bigger problem
Some emergencies are one-off failures. Others are your electrical system telling you it is at the end of its rope. A panel that overheats, breakers that will not hold, or repeated failures in the same circuit often trace back to aging or overloaded equipment. If that is what we find, we will show you, explain your options, and quote the fix separately. Hazard-era panels are a common culprit in this county; see our electrical panel upgrades page for what replacement involves. The emergency repair stands on its own, and you are never obligated to the bigger job.
